Every trip on Dry Tripping Travel is alcohol-free, hosted by someone we've vetted, and bookable in a few minutes. Here's how it works.

Each trip has set departure dates and its own room options: shared, private, or sometimes just one setup for everyone. Pick what suits your budget and how you like to travel. You'll see the full price, the deposit, and when the balance is due before you commit to anything.
Every listing tells you upfront which way it books. Instant Booking means your deposit goes through and you're confirmed on the spot. Confirm First means we hold your deposit while the host checks availability. We'll let you know within 24 hours either way. Once you're confirmed, the balance is collected automatically 60 days before you travel.
Once you're confirmed, you're introduced to your host directly and they take it from there: packing lists, arrival times, group chats, whatever you need before you go. From that point on you're not a booking, you're part of the group.
The deposit is 25% of the total trip cost and is set at booking. A paid deposit secures your spot. How it's charged depends on the listing type: • Instant Book: the deposit is charged immediately • Confirm First: the deposit is authorized while the host confirms within 24 hours. If the host declines, the authorization is released in full The remaining balance is due 60 days before the trip start date.
The remaining balance is collected automatically 60 days before the trip start date. If your trip is within 60 days at the time of booking, full payment is required immediately. Your stored payment method is charged on the scheduled date.
The system retries up to 3 times over 7 days (day 1, day 3, and day 6). You'll receive escalating notifications at each step. If the balance remains unpaid after 7 days, the booking is cancelled. The deposit follows the standard cancellation policy.
We understand that plans sometimes change. Here's our cancellation policy: • Within 48 hours of booking: full refund • After 48 hours: deposit non-refundable • More than 60 days before the trip: full refund minus the deposit • 30–60 days before the trip: 50% refund of the balance • Less than 30 days before the trip: no refund We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your booking in case of unexpected circumstances.
Instant Book means your booking is confirmed the moment you pay the deposit. Confirm First means your deposit is authorized (held, not charged) while the host has 24 hours to confirm availability. If declined or timed out, the hold is released and you will be notified by email.
