Five years ago, we gathered in Long Beach for our very first Sober in the City dinner. At the time, we had no idea it would become the beginning of something so much bigger. We simply wanted one unforgettable evening where connection—not alcohol—was the reason we gathered. Join us as we return to the beautiful La Opera in downtown Long Beach for an elegant evening of incredible Italian cuisine, thoughtfully crafted zero-proof beverages, meaningful conversations, laughter, and the warm hospitality that has become a Sober in the City tradition. Whether you're reconnecting with old friends or meeting new ones for the very first time, you'll leave feeling like you belong. Many guests are making a weekend of it! We'll have a special group hotel rate nearby, and all the details will be included in your confirmation email. Come for the dinner, or stay and enjoy a weekend exploring Long Beach with our amazing community. Bonus: Celebration Dinner guests will also be the first to hear the official announcement of our Fall 2027 Sober in the City destination.

Since many like to stay a few days, or just a couple, you are able to make your own hotel reservations for the length of stay you prefer. We're happy to assist with potential roommates.
