Sinchal, Ecuador
You love your children. This retreat isn't about escaping motherhood or becoming a better mother. It's about remembering that somewhere inside all the roles, responsibilities and people who need you, there is still a woman who belongs entirely to herself.
For 7 days, we're going to give her some room. There will be meaningful conversations and opportunities to look inward, but this isn't 10 days of sitting around talking about our problems. We're going to laugh. Explore. Eat. Move. Rest. Try things. Meet people. Go to beautiful places. Have adventures. And maybe do a few things that remind you what it feels like to be curious, spontaneous and fully alive again.
And Ecuador itself is part of the experience. We'll take you beyond the places created for tourists and introduce you to the Ecuador we know and love, local villages, beaches, artists, small businesses, food, nature and people. Some experiences will be planned; others may happen simply because someone says, “You have to come see this.”
We're not here to teach you how to manage your life better so you can squeeze even more into it.
We're interested in the woman underneath all of that.
Who are you now? What do you want? What makes you feel alive? What have you stopped doing because there was never enough time? What does your own intuition sound like when everything else gets quiet enough to hear it?
The goal isn't to leave Ecuador as some new and improved version of yourself. It's to reconnect with the woman who's already there and take more of her home with you.
You won't just visit Ecuador. For 7 days, you'll get to live here.

Fully Dry
Moringa Sagrada is a fully alcohol-free space, and that choice is very intentional. I don't drink. Not because I've personally struggled with alcohol addiction, but because I've discovered that my life is better without it. I also wanted to create a healing environment where anyone, including someone in recovery, can arrive knowing that alcohol won't be part of their experience here. What I don't want is for an alcohol-free retreat to feel like 7 days of giving something up. Quite the opposite. We'll be doing so much healing, exploring, laughing, eating, meeting people, discovering Ecuador and having adventures, that alcohol simply doesn't need to be part of the equation. Evenings can mean great conversation around the table, a sunset at the beach, music, a bonfire, stargazing, or just being happily exhausted after a really good day. And we definitely won't be deprived when it comes to drinks! Every morning starts with coffee and a fresh smoothie, often made with fruit and freshly harvested aloe from the property. My personal favorite for the rest of the day is sparkling volcanic mineral water with freshly squeezed lime and a splash of apple cider vinegar, cold, tart and ridiculously refreshing in the Ecuadorian heat. There are also fresh juices, herbal teas and plenty of other alcohol-free options. Most importantly, you won't be treated differently because you don't drink. There won't be awkward explanations, drinking-centered outings, or a feeling that everyone else is doing something you're missing. Here, alcohol-free is simply normal. Whether you're sober, sober-curious, in recovery, or you just want ten days where alcohol isn't part of the conversation, you're welcome exactly as you are.
There really isn't a typical day here, and that's intentional. Wake without an alarm, wander out for coffee, a fresh fruit and aloe smoothie, and breakfast surrounded by tropical gardens and birdsong. Some mornings may begin with meditation, movement or a conversation together; others may begin slowly.
We might head out to explore a local village, hike, visit a beach, meet a local artist, discover a tiny restaurant, spend time in nature, or have an experience we couldn't possibly have scheduled before you arrived. Other days may bring us back inward for personal growth work, reflection or simply some much-needed rest.
Afternoons are for whatever the day is asking of us, adventure, swimming, exploring, creative experiences, hammocks, meaningful conversations, healing work, naps or spontaneous plans. Rest and adventure both belong here.
Dinner might be around our big outdoor table or somewhere local that we want you to experience. We might watch the sunset, sit around talking and laughing, listen to music, have a beach bonfire, head into town or enjoy a quiet night at the finca. There is nowhere you have to be and nothing you need to prove.
This retreat is for mothers who love their families but realize that somewhere along the way, “Mom” may have become so big that the woman underneath it hasn't had much room to breathe. Your children might be little, teenagers, or completely grown. You might be married, partnered, divorced or single. The stage of motherhood matters much less than the feeling that you're ready to rediscover more of yourself. You don't have to be struggling. In fact, you may have a life you genuinely love. You may simply be asking, “What about me? Who am I now, and what do I want the next part of my life to feel like?” Come curious. Come ready to laugh. Come willing to try something new.
Farm Stay
Moringa Sagrada sits on a peaceful 12-acre organic farm near Ecuador's Pacific coast but probably not the kind of farm you're picturing. The property is filled with tropical gardens, fruit trees, flowers, birds and beautiful places to sit, wander and simply be. You'll stay in comfortable, air-conditioned accommodations surrounded by nature. At the heart of the property is our large open-air kitchen, dining and gathering space. That's where morning coffee turns into conversation, meals get shared, people linger around the table and a lot of the best moments happen without anyone planning them. This isn't a resort. It's a home in Ecuador, and while you're here, you're part of it.

Moringa Sagrada
I’m Nancy, founder of Moringa Sagrada, a healing center and intentional community on the Pacific coast of Ecuador. I’ve spent more than 30 years working in healing and bodywork, studying and practicing a wide range of approaches including PSYCH-K®, Emotional Clearing, Bowen Therapy, Integrative Manual Therapy, Access Bars, meditation and spiritual coaching. After many years in private practice in the United States, I moved to Ecuador and created Moringa Sagrada because I wanted to offer something I couldn’t create within the confines of a traditional appointment: the time and space to work with one person deeply, intuitively and without rushing the process.
I have over 30 years of experience in holistic healing, bodywork, and personal transformation. My training includes PSYCH-K®, Emotional Clearing, Bowen Therapy, Integrative Manual Therapy, Access Bars®, meditation, energy work, and spiritual coaching. I previously owned and operated a successful healing practice in Pennsylvania and now offer immersive, one-on-one Personal Retreats at Moringa Sagrada in Ecuador.
I don’t believe healing is one-size-fits-all, and I don’t believe there is a formula that works for every person. When someone comes to Moringa Sagrada for a Personal Retreat, I don’t arrive with ten days already planned. We begin with you. We may work together for several hours one day and need something completely different the next. I draw from decades of experience and many different healing modalities, but I also pay close attention to what is unfolding in the moment. I believe some of our deepest shifts happen when we finally have enough time, safety and space to listen to ourselves differently. And healing isn't only what happens during our sessions. It happens over breakfast, on a walk, while resting in a hammock, through laughter, conversation, nourishing food, nature, quiet and simply stepping outside the patterns of everyday life for a while. My role isn't to fix you. It's to help create the space where you can reconnect with yourself, understand what has been holding you back, and discover what becomes possible when it no longer has to.
