Krabi, Thailand
The two biggest Sobriety Podcasts bring you a the perfect getaway! The Sober Awkward Retreats are held in a beautiful alcohol free resort in Krabi Thailand. The mornings are slow and calm, maybe a stretch, a swim, or a quiet coffee and amazing breakfasts, while everything wakes up around you. There’s no pressure to be anything other than yourself. Days are a mix of doing and not doing. You might try something new, like yoga, breathwork, Thai Boxing, or an ice bath, or you might just sit, chat, write, or wander. There are boat trips, good food, laughter, and those unexpectedly honest conversations that happen when everyone feels safe enough to drop the act. Evenings are where the magic really shifts. Instead of the usual drinking culture, you get connection, stories, markets, music, maybe a quiz or a dance, and you go to bed feeling proud of yourself rather than picking apart the night before. It’s not about fixing yourself or becoming someone new. It’s about remembering who you are without alcohol in the mix, and realising you’re actually pretty great company.

Fully Dry
This is a fully dry retreat, which means there is no alcohol on site at all. Instead, you’ll find plenty of teas, soft drinks, fresh juices, incredible smoothies and shakes, and loads of fresh coconuts. It’s refreshing in more ways than one, and you quickly realise you’re not missing anything. It’s a very recovery-friendly environment. We run a gentle writing workshop and a sobriety workshop, plus a daily sharing circle where you can talk about your day if you want to, or simply listen. There’s no pressure, just a safe, relaxed space where you can be yourself and feel understood. Connection is at the heart of everything. Whether it’s chatting over breakfast, laughing during a quiz, or having a proper conversation on a walk, you’ll feel part of something real and authentic. Being around people who “get it” gives your nervous system a proper break, and you leave feeling calmer than you thought possible, with friendships that often last long after the retreat ends. And instead of alcohol-centred activities, there’s plenty to look forward to. Think craft mornings, floating meditations, massages, kayaking, snorkelling trips, beach days, and a few surprises along the way. It’s about having fun, eating well, and experiencing the best of Thailand without needing a drink in your hand. Vic, your host, lived in Thailand for seven years and knows all the hidden gems, and she’s joined by fellow sober podcast host Sober Dave, bringing his wisdom and experience. Everything is taken care of, so all you need to do is turn up, relax, and enjoy what might just be the best eight nights you’ve had in a long time.
Yoga, Breathwork, Thai boxing, boat breakfast trip and loads more
Lunch - amazing Thai food, Days out,
Chilling, ice baths and massages, Snorkling, Island hopping
quiz, markets, group dinners at the resort, craft, night meditation
This is for people who are already sober, or living alcohol-free, and want to spend time somewhere they don’t feel like the odd one out. It’s a mixed retreat and everyone is welcome, singles, couples, friends, men and women, from all walks of life, but the common thread is that you’re not drinking and you don’t want to have to explain that to anyone. It’s for those who are used to navigating a world where alcohol is everywhere, and would love a few days where that just isn’t part of the picture. Where connection is easy, conversations go a bit deeper, and you can properly relax into being yourself. If you’re looking for like-minded people, genuine connection, and a space where sober is the norm, not the exception, you’ll feel right at home here.
Wellness Resort
There are a few accommodation options at Voasis, all set within the peaceful jungle surroundings, so you can choose what suits your style and budget. The Jungle Haven bungalows are the higher-end option. Beautiful wooden cabins with outdoor baths on the deck, overlooking the plantation. They feel private, calm, and a little bit special, perfect if you want your own space to fully unwind. Then there are the Mountain and Garden View A-frame bungalows. These are ideal for solo travellers or anyone wanting a cosy, comfortable stay. They’ve got double beds, private bathrooms, and a really lovely, simple feel that fits perfectly with the surroundings. And then there’s the budget option, the women-only dorm. It sleeps four, with two bathrooms, and is surprisingly spacious with really comfortable beds. This was actually the most popular choice last year, the women in there ended up forming such a close bond, lots of laughing, chatting, and that slightly nostalgic, school camp feeling. It’s a brilliant option if you want connection as well as comfort.
